We head into the final four weeks of DC 201, and yet we have only two more topics to address. We'll spend 2 weeks on marriage and 2 weeks on temptation. Here is how the first week's workload on the topic of marriage will break down:
Monday - Read 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Proverbs 31
Tuesday - Read Philippians and the three articles for the week: John Chrysostom's "How Should Husbands Love Their Wives?", Elven Smith's "Making a Marriage a Rewarding Relationship", and Laurin White's "Building Marriages for Life"
Wednesday - Memorize Philippians 2:3 - "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves" - and review Ephesians 4:2 and Ephesians 4:29
Thursday - Answer questions 1a-b, 2a-c, and 3a-e (10 questions) and review memory verses
Friday - Answer questions 4a-e and 5a-c (8 questions) and review memory verses
If you have time and have a copy of C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, you may also want to address 5d, which is optional and asks you to comment on his writing from chapter 6, book 3.
