This is our final week of DC 202. The topic is an introduction to leadership. We'll be finishing up our reading of Proverbs and take a look at the Psalms, which we'll be reading throughout the rest of DC. We'll also take a peek at Moses' introduction to leadership and consider what we might learn from him and his experience, both in terms of what to do and what not to do. There's a lot of reading to do this week, in preparation for DC 301, which is mostly reading. Here's how the workload might break down:
Monday - Read Proverbs 30 along with the two articles for the week, "How to Read the Psalms," by Tremper Longman III, and "Qualities for Spiritual Leadership," by J. Oswald Sanders - and consider your character traits in light of leadership
Tuesday - Read the overview of the Psalms, including Psalm 35, 37, 44, 78, 89, 91, 102, 118, and 119, and record anything that impacted you
Wednesday - Memorize 1 Thessalonians 1:3 - We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ - and review previous memory verses, such as Romans 12:1-2 and 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
Thursday - Answer questions 2a-c and 3a-c (6 questions) - notice that questions 2 and 3 go together based on a reading of Exodus 2-4
Friday - Answer questions 1a-d and 4 (5 questions) - question 4 is based on the reading of chapter 5 of The Saving Life of Christ, by Major Ian Thomas
