The topics have become more and more personal as we have moved through the Discipleship Curriculum, and now, perhaps, we come to the most personal thus far. Finances are a topic covered often with a broad brush stroke and rarely penetrated to the depths of accountability for one's individual and family giving, saving, and spending. We'll combine this week's study with our "project" and with next week's lesson on Biblical Stewardship. Here's how this week's workload might break down:
Monday - Read Proverbs 28 and the article by Becky Brodin entitled, Financially Free
Tuesday - Read Revelation 1-11
Wednesday - Memorize 1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs - and review previous memory verses, such as Ephesians 4:29 and 1 Peter 4:10
Thursday - Answer questions 1a-d and 2a-f (10 questions) and review memory verses
Friday - Answer questions 3a-b and 4a-b (4 questions), ponder how you and your group might distribute the $2000 that you will have at your disposal, and review memory verses
